Rural Development – Upcoming Industry Workshop on Funding Gaps in Section 515 and Section 514/516 Transactions

Rural Development’s Office of Multifamily Housing distributed the following bulletin informing stakeholders of an upcoming workshop entitled, Addressing Funding Gaps in Section 515 and FLH (514/516):

    • Section 515 and Section 514/516 programs provide financing for the new construction and preservation of affordable housing units in Rural America.As market conditions continue to impact these transactions, owners with active transactions are encouraged to join USDA Rural Development staff for a workshop presentation describing how to address cost overruns on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM Eastern time. While all those interested are welcome to attend, the intended audience is Section 515 owners experiencing cost-overruns in active transfer or preservation transactions and Section 514/516 FLH awardees from prior NOSAs facing cost overruns above their initial award amount. Guidance will be provided by Dan Rogers, Director of Production and Preservation.

      Participants should pre-register for the session. A meeting confirmation notice will be emailed to all registrants with valid email addresses.
