Recordings of Member Conference Calls; New COVID-19 Info Section on CARH Website; and Additional COVID-19 Updates

CARH’S BROADCAST E-MAIL – Member Update

We would like to thank all of you who connected to one or both of the conference calls that were held yesterday that provided updates on regulatory, legislative, and best practices for our members. CARH would also like to especially thank the panelists who took the time to share their expertise, knowledge, and experiences.

For those that were unable to make either of the calls, we have created a “COVID-19 INFO” page in the Members’ Only section of our website, www.carh.org, where you can listen to recordings of the calls. In addition, the Impact Form for Residents that Matt Melnick of TM Associates referenced in the Management Companies call has also been included. Once you log in with your username and password, visit here. Please note, you must be a CARH member to access this section. If you need assistance with your login information, contact Tamara Schultz, CARH’s Membership Manager at tschultz@carh.org.

If you or your company has COVID-19 specific documents or routines that you are using and would like to share with other CARH members as best practices, please forward them to carh@carh.org. Those best practices will be added to the new members’ only section.

Today, CARH sent a letter to the Secretary of the Treasury and the Administrator of the Small Business Administration regarding some of the issues with implementation of the Small Business Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) authorized by the CARES Act. Many of these issues were discussed during yesterday’s phone call. In addition, CARH, along with other affordable housing groups, sent a letter to the leadership of both the United States House of Representatives and the Senate regarding issues that must addressed in future legislation addressing the economic ramifications of COVID-19.

Finally, attached are talking points that the A.C.T.I.O.N Coalition, of which CARH is a member, has prepared that emphasize the housing credit and bond programs. This information has also been sent to the Congress. We would encourage CARH members to share the real estate letter and the A.C.T.I.O.N. Coalition information with your members of Congress as well.

CARH will continue to update the COVID-19 page in the Newsroom of our website with information and updates provided by federal agencies.

All of us at CARH hope you, your family, your coworkers, and employees stay healthy and we encourage everyone to continue to follow all CDC and governmental recommendations.
