Nixon Peabody Webinar: The New RAD Notice – What You Need to Know About Changes to Component 2

On June 15, HUD issued its long-awaited Notice on changes to both components of the RAD program. In this first of a two-part webinar series, Nixon Peabody will focus on the changes to RAD Component 2. What modifications does PIH 12-32 REV 2 outline for Moderate Rehabilitation (“Mod Rehab”), Rent Supplement (“Rent Supp”) and Rental Assistance Program (“RAP”) projects? How will the changes specified in the Notice affect housing preservation?

On Thursday, August 6, join Nixon Peabody online for an analysis of the new RAD Notice and its implications for RAD Component 2. Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • Project-based rental assistance (PBRA): What are the primary differences between PBV and PBRA? How will rents be set initially and how will they be adjusted going forward?
  • New requirements: Passing REAC, RCS, and CNA.
  • SRO Mod Rehab: What is the process for converting SRO Mod Rehab projects?
  • Environmental review: What type of review is necessary and who completes it
  • Davis-Bacon: How and under what circumstances will this apply to projects?
