New Multifamily Housing Director of the Preservation and Direct Loan Division

On September 11, 2019, Rural Development sent out the following release:

“Lauryn Kallas Enrico will join our team as Director of the Preservation and Direct Loan Division, effective September 30, 2019. Lauryn comes to us with extensive and varied experience in the affordable multifamily housing field. This experience includes community-based neighborhood revitalization at Community Development Corporations in Cincinnati, Ohio; troubled asset resolution, preservation and Congressional engagement at HUD; affordable multifamily lending at Berkeley Point Capital; and policy development at the Federal Housing Finance Agency to increase access to liquidity for underserved multifamily markets. Lauryn received her Bachelor’s Degree with High Honors in Urban and Environment Planning from the University of Virginia, and her Master’s Degree in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati, where she received a Faculty Award for Outstanding Student, and was selected as Outstanding Graduate Student By Peers. Lauryn also served as a U.S. Peace Corps Fellow while pursuing her Master’s degree.

This position was formerly held by CB Alonso, who has accepted another opportunity with RD.”

We also would like to thank CB Alonso for all of his work and many accomplishments in supporting affordable housing and we wish him well in all of his future endeavors.
