The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the updated Data on Tenants in LIHTC Units report, which includes informatioin through Dec. 31, 2013. The report is mandated by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008, which requires state housing agencies to submit certain demographic and economic information on low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) tenants to HUD. In the updated report, a net additional 153,870 units were reported compared to the initial report through 2012, reflecting units placed in service in 2013 as well as new information on units not submitted in the previous year.
