CARH’S BROADCAST E-MAIL – Regulatory Update

Ben Metcalf, the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Deputy Assistant Secretary for Multifamily Housing has announced that he will be leaving his position in mid-December. As you know, Ben has been a long-time affordable housing advocate and has been a valuable and knowledgeable speaker on a variety of panels and sessions at CARH national meetings and at CARH’s Board of Directors’ meetings.

CARH would like to thank Ben for all of his work and many accomplishments in supporting affordable housing. We wish him well in his new position in California where he will head up the state’s Department of Housing and Community Development.

Priya Jayachandran, Senior Advisor/Acting Director of Program Administration at HUD, will take over Ben’s responsibilities after his departure. CARH looks forward to continuing our strong relationship with the Office of Multifamily Housing and working with Priya in the mutual goal of serving this country’s low-income tenants of affordable housing.
