2019 RD Site Managers of the Year Awards; CARH’s Insights for On-sites Newsletter
CARH’S BROADCAST E-MAIL – Member Update
March 20, 2019
1) RD Site Managers of the Year
The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development (RD) office has issued guidelines for their annual Multi-Family Housing Site Managers and Maintenance Person of the Year Recognition Program for Fiscal Year 2019.
The awards will be given in each of the following categories: 1) Site Manager of the Year for Housing for the Elderly; 2) Site Manager of the Year for Housing for Families; 3) Site Manager of the Year for Farm Labor Housing; and 4) Maintenance Person of the Year. Please click here to view the Unnumbered Letter (UL) which includes the guidelines and checklists for nominations. Please note, this year RD will NOT accept hard copy nomination packets/binders. All nominations MUST be sent electronically from State RD offices to the National RD office.
Nominations are due to the National RD no later than May 17, 2019. If you have any questions regarding the nomination process, please contact Charlene Broussard in RD’s Multi-Family Housing Portfolio Management Division at 337-262-6611.
This year’s recipients will be presented at a special Awards Breakfast during CARH’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Legislative Conference which will be held June 24-26 at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City.
2) CARH’s Insights for On-sites Newsletter
The February 2019 edition of CARH’s Insights for On-sites was published last month and a hard copy was mailed out to all CARH members. A PDF version can also be viewed and downloaded by clicking here, or by visiting the Resources/Publications section of CARH’s website, www.carh.org.
This issue of the Insights for On-sites provided property managers with information on the 2019 Scholarship Foundation scholarships for their residents and the 2019 RD Site Manager and Maintenance Person of the Year award process. It also includes an article on paying taxes online or via a payment plan; how to host a Summer Meals Program at your property; and emergency and disaster preparedness.
The Insights for On-sites newsletter is published for onsite property management professionals and maintenance personnel. If CARH has a property address on file, a hard copy was also mailed directly to the property. However, the majority of properties will not receive a hard copy. Therefore, we encourage you to share this newsletter with your properties!
